The Blueprint III x Jay-Z Pre-listening

So I've been listening to the album for the last couple of days now. It definitely seems as though Jay-Z is never going to be that same street-authentic dude when it comes to his albums. Although he still paints a good picture with his slick raps, many of the beats on this album don't measure up to the albums of old. Disappointing for us old-school Jay-Z lovers. But I guess that how life changes. Has a very poppy feel to it which i believe draws a bit from the rap and authentic hip hop personality that Jay-Z is. Nonetheless, It's a good album...I think I was just hoping for the return of the young Jay-Z rather than the seasoned Exec. trying to stay relevant.
