I had the pleasure of playing with Robbie in 2008 and have nothing but good things to say of my guy. Robbie is an outstanding outfielder with all five tools and is a class act talent. He is by far one of the nicest and funniest guys I've had the opportunity to play with professionally as well as having enormous major league potential. I just found out about this an hour ago and have been making my rounds notifying other teamates about the situation with Robbie and his family down in Texas.
Keep your eyes on this story as it becomes more illuminated in the months ahead. HBO has picked up the story and Bryant Gumbel is doing an exclusive with Robbie and his family. This is going to pick up speed as it gets national attention. The TV schedule is below:
