Gatorade Tastemaker Program "What's G?" feat. Lil' Wayne

Pen from Leroy Jenkins got involved in one of the best projects done thus far . Gatorade recently changed all their branding, you may have seen this commercial "Whats G?"
A round of Leroy snap back hats were produced branded with the new "G" logo on them. The good folks at Gatorade apparently released only 80 of these packages worldwide.

The case first of all is a ZERO Halliburton. The case itself is amazing. As you open up the case there is a G book explaining the what exactly G is. Uncover the top layer and there is an Estate X Leroy Jenkins X Gatorade hat, a Leroy X Gatorade shirt, a pair of Bose x Gatorade noise cancelling headphones, and a Gatorade Ipod touch with a message from Michael Jordan.

Gatorade made that jump to being the next major lifestyle brand(beverage) to merge pop culture, arts, sports, and streetwear fashion culture to their marketing and advertising strategies to reach niche groups and the newer generation of youth and young adults. The commercial features commentary by Lil' Wayne who is of no suprise using his current stature in pop culture to become a walking billboard himself. Like I've said in previous posts, keep an eye out for more and more companies like this to start merging with lifestyle brands and pop culture tastemakers to reach the new generations.
